Meet Sandra Sandra Kimball, B.Couns., MACA is the leading provider of mental health solutions for people living and working abroad. She has been working in the mental health field for 25 years as a therapist, writer, educator, speaker and meditation teacher. During her career, she has developed stress management programs for an international corporation, worked with the homeless, created an innovative meditation program for those in addiction recovery and has been a research team member on a project sponsored by the Japanese government for Aids/HIV and intravenous drug use education.
She has led monthly workshops and given presentations at Kyoto International Community House, The Osaka Prefecture Women's Center, and several universities in Kyoto. Sandra has been called upon by the Associated Kyoto Program, Doshisha University and the Kyoto Consortium for Japanese Studies, Kyoto University as a counsellor for students studying abroad. She is bound by a rigorous system of registration that requires on-going professional development and supervision mentoring and adheres to a strict code of ethics and confidentiality. Sandra offers empathy and respect for your intrinsic needs and unique personality and uses a combination of traditional and innovative counselling approaches from mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, a narrative approach and depth psychology. |
